"The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of something elusive yet obtainable ... a perpetual series of occasions for hope." (Acylic on canvass 24"x18")
Trout truly don't live in ugly places! (Acylic on canvass 36"x48")
My love of fly fishing and painting have collided many times through the years. These "therapy" scenes are of some of my "special" places where "a river runs through it"! (Acrylic on canvass 24"x18")
Hey Dad, I was looking at the fly-fishing photo that has the sun coming through and river curves around and noticed that the name of the file was EMR. Is that the name of the painting? If not, what did you name it?
I have had (and continue to have) a wonderful career in the Residential and Commercial building industry. For the past 35 years, I have had the priviledge of working for our market leader, Ivory Homes and their related companies. They have provided me with many opportunities for personal expression and leadership.
I started painting after suffering a back injury in 1995 as a way to pass the time during my convalescense. It not only helped me get through that tough period, but I found out that I really enjoyed painting and that I had an aptitude for it!
A special thanks to my wife, Maureen, for her endless support of my interests. She is both encouraging and tolerant. Also to my wonderful children and grandchildren to whom this site is dedicated.
PS ...
I have had many people ask if I sell my work. The answer is "yes" ... see the link below to my website for details. My paintings have sold from $50 to $5000. I am sure we can suite something to every budget and circumstance, so feel free to contact me ... I would love to help you develop some meaningful and affordable art.
