In Flight

Our little beagle puppy has grown into a beautiful adult dog. Her soulful eyes and big, floppy ears make her hard to say "no" to. When she leaps while running she almost appears to be "in flight" ... which I tried to capture in this piece.

Jacy

One of my young friends asked me to do a painting of their family dog for a Christmas present to his parents. Jacy is certainly a beautiful dog!

Winnie

Maureen surprised me with this little gal over a year ago on my birthday. She's all grown up now, but this is how she looked at about 4 months old. She was the "chewingest" critter I had ever known! She sure was cute, though ...

Roxy

Our niece's bulldog, Roxy, recently passed away. Maureen suggested that I do a painting of her for them to send as a gift of comfort. I thought it was a great idea and began researching her Facebook posts for pictures of Roxy. I found this one and immediately knew it was the one I should paint. What a wonderful experience for me to be able to help in this way ...

"Tazer"

Maureen's cousin and his wife visited us this past month while on their way to see a friend in Colorado. They are from Whistler, BC in Canada so we don't get to see them much. However, when we do get to visit with them, we enjoy their company so much! They are very sweet and kind folks ... we look forward to each opportunity to be with them!

This time, they asked me if I would paint a portrait of "Tazer", their son's German shepherd that recently passed away. I told them I would give it a shot! Hope they like it ...

Vinny

Our grandchildren love our little beagle dog and he knows it! He turned 12 years old today and is starting to show signs of age. However, when he was a puppy, he couldn't have been more cute! I have always wanted to do a painting of him when he was just a puppy. I finally took the time to find one of his early photos and came up with this rendition of him about three months old ... see what I mean!

Jake

Jake is a handsome golden retreiver and our neighbor. His owner, our dear friend, asked if I would paint this scene of Jake on their dock at their family cabin in Island Park as a gift for her husband on Fathers' Day. This was a really fun project for me ... thanks, Stacie, for the opportunity! Jake is such a good looking dog, I hope I captured his likeness and personality! Acylic on gallery wrapped canvas 14"x11".
